A Debt That We Owe
"Doctors’ voices being heard, advocating care,/A remedy we must accept..."

This item requires reviews with ratings.
A woman on her scale, not happy with her weight –
A man on that regretful scale, not happy ‘cause it’s late;
Poor health likely stemming from this much unneeded fat,
With many men and women forced to eat less, knowing that!

Calories and fatty foods are quite the evil trend;
We all consume fried foods and snacks to virtually no end.
And not enough good exercise to burn these calories off –
A debt is owed which must be paid to those we shouldn’t scoff.

Diabetes, heart disease, and high cholesterol
Are quite the risky ailments to which we mustn’t fall.
Doctors’ voices being heard, advocating care,
A remedy we must accept, falling from his chair…

This living whose extravagance is clearly tied to wealth,
Has grown rife with ambivalence, threatening our health…
Assuming careless optimism, for which there’s timeless breath,
Clearly has us peaking high and closer to our death!
