Heret had secretly entered Moscow, disguised as a Podzemny. When he reached the Kremlin, a guard had stopped him. "State your name and business."
"I am here to discuss matters with Luksekii Takhan. I'd advise letting me in," Heret said.
"Don't you know that Takhan is not at the Kremlin? He is off with Masiyoshi Kozumi to discuss the Human/Podzemny Agreement in Japan."
Heret grabbed onto the guard. "Where are they now?"
"I don't know! They are going to eventually pass by the city of Messov. Now, I need some identification. Who are you?"
"My name is not your concern," Heret said, as he started to walk away.

Virolvv activated his holoreceiver to a message of Heret. "What do you want now?" Virolvv demanded.
"I have urgent news. A document that may ally the Podzemny with the humans is being sent to Japan."
This was alarming news. "Do you know anywhere where they will be passing by?" Virolvv asked.
"Messov, Russia."
"Okay. You continue your search for Towo and Eon. I'm going to retreat the troops from the planet."
"Why, my lord?" Heret asked.
"If the treaty does happen to get to Japan, the troopers will be slaughtered on Earth. I am also going to contact another person who can stop that treaty."
"Okay. Call him then. I think we are running out of time."

Furo activated his holoreceiver, and a hologram of Virolvv appeared. "What do you need, Master?" Furo asked.
"A document is being sent to the United Nations to sign an alliance with the Podzemny. You must stop it from reaching the UN meeting at all costs," Virolvv replied.
"I'm going to need a rendezvous with the possessors of the treaty," Furo said.
"Messov, Russia. It is a small town that was abandoned after the Third Russian Civil War. The city itself has been nearly destroyed by the vegetation, and nearly forgotten about by the humans. It may or may not be in the holomap."
Furo pulled a small metal disc out of his cloak and activated it. A small diagram of the Earth appeared in a hologram. He spoke into the microphone. "Find Messov, Russia, and give me sufficient details about it."
The hologram zoomed into a location near the Mongolia-Russia border. On the map, the small town was completely surrounded by trees, with no roads anywhere nearby.
"How will they be passing by Messov when there are clearly no roads?" Furo asked.
"The roads still exist, but are nearly impossible to navigate on, due to the vegetation which corroded the pavement and caused large ruts," the device answered.
Furo switched the holomap off, and jumped into his fighter, the Zinag. "How long until they reach Messov?" Furo asked Virolvv.
"I have no idea. All that matters is how long it will be until you reach Messov."

Takhan and Masiyoshi sat in the back of the hovervehicle, and watched as they passed Novosibirsk. "You know, Takhan, it would've been much faster if we would have taken a mach train," Masiyoshi said.
"The document is too important. If we were on a mach train, we'd be on it with several people. People that I can't trust."
"So you trust the driver?" Masiyoshi asked, looking at the uniformed driver in front of him.
"Yes. Velmudr was a helpful asset during the battle at Moscow. I'm certain that he can escort us to Ulaanbaatar safely."
"Wait. You never said we were going into Mongolia," Masiyoshi said.
"Qo'ai-marael Ganzorig is a great friend of mine. He allowed us to hold the meeting at Ulaanbaatar."
"Why not hold it in Japan like you originally planned?"
"I thought of that as an option at first, but thinking about it, Japan is at higher risk of being attacked than Mongolia. The Kazinites most likely don't even care about Mongolia at the moment."
Masiyoshi nodded in agreement. "How long until we reach the Mongolia-Russia border?" Masiyoshi asked Velmudr.
"In a few minutes. Before we reach the border, though, we'll have to pass by Messov," Velmudr replied.

Furo landed his ship outside of Messov, and trekked up to the abandoned city. He was nearly at the abandoned city, when he heard people talking. Stepping out of the brush carefully, he looked at the five Russian soldiers standing near the road. "Why were we assigned to make sure that nothing bad happens when Takhan drives by to get to Ulaanbaatar?" one of the Russians asked the others.
"I don't know," another replied. "But this job is really boring."
Furo stepped back, but snapped a twig under his foot. One of the soldiers noticed him, and shouted to his fellow soldiers. The soldier then began to fire at Furo with his AK-302 machine gun.
The other four soldiers did the same thing, firing repeatedly at Furo. Furo quickly jumped behind a tree, and waited until the soldiers were finished firing at him. This was closer to a myth than real. They continued firing at him for 5 minutes, when Furo decided to take action. He lifted his arm out, and a beam of lightning hit one of the soldiers.
The soldiers looked at their fallen comrade in shock. "He's... not human. He can't be!" one of them said.
Furo broke a small piece of metal off of a sign that read, Messov. He then wrapped it with electricity, and using his powers over wind, sent it flying into the forehead of one of the soldiers with the point out. The soldier fell over, dead.
The remaining soldiers began firing vigorously at Furo, but Furo released a strong wind, which managed to dissolve all the blaster shots in the air. Furo then blasted more wind at the soldiers. Two of them blew into the trees at such high speeds that the trees leaned forward, and smashed the soldiers to death.
The final soldier backed up as Furo approached him. The soldier tried to fire, but had no ammunition or charge packs left. Furo grabbed an energy pack from his cloak, and sent electricity into it.
"You fool! You'll destroy everything within a 10 mile radius!"
"It's a risk that I believe is necessary."
The pack exploded.

Velmudr reacted quickly to the explosion. He tried to escape, but the explosion had hit the vehicle, making it fly several stories into the air. "Brace yourself!" Velmudr shouted, as the vehicle hit the ground.
Masiyoshi and Luksekii got up, and looked outside. All they could see for miles were blackened trees, each with small shocks of electricity on them. "Have you seen anything like this?" Takhan asked.
"I've seen an energy pack explode, but nothing like this. This must be the work of Virolvv's final clone."
"You think correct."
Masiyoshi spun around, and saw a yellow-skinned Kazinite standing between the burned trees. "I presume you are Masiyoshi Kozumi, and your friend here is Luksekii Takhan. I heard about Heret's defeat in Moscow."
"What do you want?" Takhan asked.
"My mission isn't to kill both of you. It is to destroy the document you are carrying," the Kazinite said.
"What document?" Takhan said, pretending he didn't know.
"The Human/Podzemny Agreement. I know perfectly well you have it. Now hand it over. I won't hesitate to kill you if you don't give me the document."
Masiyoshi pulled out his sword. "You don't know anything about us, do you?" he asked.
The Kazinite said nothing, as he sent a blast of electricity in the direction of Masiyoshi. He lifted his sword to block the blast, and knew that he wouldn't get electricuted, because he had placed a rubber jacket on the handle of is sword, anticipating what the Kazinite's powers were.
Masiyoshi slowly moved his sword, which was dancing with electricity in the direction of Furo. He then swung several times, sending electricity bouncing off, and heading towards Furo.
Furo slowly lifted his arms, and caught the electricity in both his palms. After a few seconds, all of the electricity Furo had fired was absorbed again. "Impressive. Very impressive, but I have not yet begun to fight!"
He took a metal prod off of his cloak, and set electricity to it. Furo then rushed up to Masiyoshi with literal lightning speed, and kicked him down. Masiyoshi looked up, and saw Furo standing above him, holding his prod over his stomach. "I must say, Masiyoshi. This duel was very boring."
Masiyoshi closed his eyes, and expected to be prodded, but the sounds of gunfire stopped this vision. Velmudr was firing Furo from behind a blackened tree. Furo stopped focusing on Masiyoshi for a minute, and looked toward his attacker. This gave him an opportunity to get up, but not enough to stab Furo.
Virolvv's clone ran quickly up to the tree Velmudr was shooting from, and prodded the defenseless soldier through the chest.
Furo pulled the prod out of Velmudr's dead body, and looked towards Takhan. "Hand over the document!" he demanded.
Takhan slowly lifted the document to where it was viewable by Furo. "Don't!" Masiyoshi shouted.
Furo slowly approached Takhan, with the prod still out. He almost grabbed the document, when Takhan had slammed his fists down into Furo's stomach. Furo clutched his stomach, while Takhan and Masiyoshi jumped back in the car, and drove off. Furo recovered quickly, however, and was gaining on them with his speed.
"What guns do you have in this?"
Takhan tossed back his pistol. "Just an RF-203 and whatever type of pistol you carry."
Masiyoshi would have preferred some sort of machine gun, but he'd have to make do with what they had. He fired at Furo once, but that didn't manage to slow down their assailant. He fired a second time, but to no avail. "This thing isn't really accurate!" Masiyoshi shouted.
"You take the wheel then, and I'll shoot our attacker!" Takhan offered.
They switched positions. Takhan lifted the RF-203 to where his eyes could see it, and lifted a small clip near the trigger.
"Rapid fire activated."
The small pistol began to fire several shots per minute at Furo. After the first energy pack was drained, he dropped it to the floor, and grabbed another from his pocket. Takhan fired until the second pack was drained, and still hadn't managed to slow Furo.
"How well does your pistol shoot?" Takhan asked.
"Very accurate. Its not a rapid fire like yours, but it should be able to get the job done. I'll warn you though, there is only one shot left in it."
Masiyoshi tossed Takhan the pistol. Takhan aimed at Furo, but thought better of shooting him directly. He lifted one of the drained energy packs. "In the count of three, I want you to switch to the highest speed. Okay?"
Masiyoshi nodded. "Got it."
Takhan tossed the drained energy pack into the air. "3."
He shot a hole in the pack. "2, 1! Go!"
The car darted forward at incredible speeds. Furo was left behind, getting caught in the explosion of the destroyed energy pack. Masiyoshi stopped the car, and looked back at the explosion they caused. "Do you think he died?" Takhan asked.
"We probably only delayed him. How close are we to Messov?"
Takhan looked around, and saw a small metal sign that read, Messov. "It looks like we reached Messov already."
"How far is it to the border? We'll probably be safe there."
"I'd say a good 15 more miles."

Furo was covered in ash. He slowly managed to get up. "They think smart, but not smart enough. Destroying an energy pack won't kill me. I already demonstrated that with the defenseless soldiers."
He got a beep from his holoreceiver. Furo opened the message, which was from Virolvv. "Have you destroyed the document yet?" Virolvv asked.
"I've reached a delay. Kazakh soldiers shot down my ship before I reached Russia," Furo lied. "I need another transport ship."
Virolvv glared at him. "The coordinates of your holoreceiver state you are in Russia. You lost them, didn't you?"
"Yes, but my ship was destroyed in an energy pack explosion. I request transport over to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia."
"Ulaanbaatar? I heard that the signing of the document would take place in Japan," Virolvv said.
"They changed their plans."
"Sergeant Novir will be over in a bit."
"Well he'd better come faster, or the document will have already been signed by the time I got there."
"Probably not. I have a small force led by Commander Gewolis that is near the border as we speak."

Gewolis's scout had come back with a report. "They are within 2 miles of the area. We will attack them by surprise when they pass by."
"Good. We will strike when ready."

They reached the security gate that showed they had reached the border. He rushed up to the acceptance booth, but was surprised to see that nobody was inside. "Something isn't quite right," Masiyoshi declared.
"What do you mean?" Takhan asked.
"There isn't anyone inside this booth. Its as if..."
The sound of three shots was heard. Masiyoshi spun around, and saw 10 Kazinites emerging from the trees. "Takhan. I thought you had soldiers patrolling Messov. These guys would have surely been spotted!"
"Its not my fault that Furo had destroyed an energy pack. They probably died in the first explosion."
"Do you have anything to fight with?" Masiyoshi asked.
"Nothing. How are we going to get out of this?" Takhan asked.
Masiyoshi lifted his sword. "I have an idea. You just have to be a good distraction."
"A distraction? I usually have people to do that for me!"
"I'm the one with the sword, and the closest people are Mongols over the gate. You're the only one who can distract them," Masiyoshi said.
"I hope you are right, Kozumi."
Takhan ran up to the gate. As soon as the Kazinites saw him run, they fired at him. Masiyoshi quickly jumped into the trees and grabbed a fallen twig. He picked it up, and sharpened the tip. After that twig was sharpened, Masiyoshi set it down, and picked up another twig, and sharpened it as well.
Takhan rushed up to the gate, which was up a small slope, and ducked behind a nearby log. With a slight, but powerful push, the log came rolling down, slamming into the Kazinites running after him. Though he managed to injure his first followers, more were coming upon him. "Where are you, Kozumi?!"
Masiyoshi grabbed his pistol, and placed each of the twigs into a small slot. When the gun was full, he stepped out of the trees, and pulled the trigger on his gun. Small twigs were being shot out at several nearby Kazinites, which happened to take effect. After he was out of twigs to shoot, he rushed up to a Kazinite bleeding from his thigh and slammed him to the ground, retrieving the Kazinite's weapon.
Several armored Kazinites were firing at Masiyoshi from behind the trees. Masiyoshi ducked behind the hovervehicle, and began firing at them. Takhan came rushing back to him. "What are you doing here? You're supposed to be distracting the Kazinites!"
"The Kazinites following me were shot," Takhan stated.
"By who? Your weapon doesn't have any ammunition!"
Takhan pointed at the gate, where several Mongol soldiers carrying machine guns were firing at the Kazinites. As soon as most the Kazinites were destroyed or captured, Masiyoshi proceeded towards the gate, but was stopped when he saw a Kazinite commander emerge from the trees.
The Mongols clearly didn't see the Kazinite, so Masiyoshi ran after him. The Kazinite lifted his pistol and jumped into the trees. Masiyoshi ran up to the place he jumped in, sword ready, and prowled the area, but found no trace of the commander. After deciding that he lost the Kazinite, Masiyoshi lowered his sword and walked out of the trees. When he did, a female Mongol greeted him.
"I was beginning to wonder if you had gotten lost. My name is Nymadawa Yul. Qo'ai-marael Ganzorig sent us here to ensure that you reach Ulaanbataar safely."

The pilot landed the ship near Sükhbaatar Square in a small alley. "Saaral Ordon should be only about one eighth of a mile away. If you need immediate retrieval, I'll be by."
"Understood."
Furo placed the hood of his cloak over his head and walked out into the light of Ulaanbaatar. He was originally going to walk over to the Saaral Ordon, but a small transport ship landing near the location caused him to run. You can never trust a normal Kazinite to stall the humans long enough.

The guard outside the Saaral Ordon looked at the group. "State your name and business."
"My name is Luksekii Takhan, and these two are Masiyoshi Kozumi and Nymadawa Yul. We are here to sign the Human/Podzemny Agreement," Takhan said.
"I'm sorry, but I am under strict orders to keep anybody out the Saaral Ordon," the guard said.
Takhan glared suspiciously at the guard. "Who gave you those orders?"
"Head of Mongol security, General Mönkh-Erdene," the guard replied.
Qo'ai-marael suddenly walked out the building, and spoke to the guard. "Why aren't you letting them in?"
"I received information from the general. He..."
Qo'ai-marael ignored the guard, and turned the direction of the three. "Let us go inside. The document is delivered, yes?"
Takhan rushed to the ship, and emerged with the document. "It's right..."
At that moment, a flash of yellow light rushed up to Takhan, and the document was suddenly gone. Nymadawa lifted her gun and fired at the yellow light, but it was gone, blacking out homes as it did.

Furo couldn't believe how easy it was to steal the document. All he had to do was stall a guard with a fake radio transmission. "Novir. I need you to pick me up at these coordinates!" he said into his comm device.
"But, General. We'll be spotted."
"Kill any civilians that get in your way, and destroy any buildings near my location."
"Yes, sir."

Masiyoshi, Takhan, and Nymadawa ran after the yellow light. Qo'ai-marael stayed behind and contacted Mönkh-Erdene to come by. They stopped where the unlit buildings ended. "He's around here somewhere," Masiyoshi stated.
"How do we hope on stopping him?" Takhan asked.
"Why not just shoot him?" Nymadawa asked.
"Furo possesses power over electricity and wind. It won't do any good," Masiyoshi said, shaking his head.
Almost instantly, a small transport ship appeared. Weapons drawn and positioned on the ship, they were ready to see who was entering or exiting the ship. Thankfully, a broad-shouldered man jumped out. "Mönkh-Erdene. Good to see you," Takhan said.
"I have a squad of 20 in that ship. The assailant won't be going anywhere."
Suddenly, another transport ship zoomed over, and blasted the Mongol transport ship until it exploded.
A cloaked man jumped out of the shadows, and almost knocked Masiyoshi down in the process. Masiyoshi quickly ran up to the transport after the cloaked man entered and shut the door. He hung on for life on one of the transport's weapons as it lifted from the ground.

Novir looked at the monitors that showed the view on the side of the ship. On the weapons, a human was visible, holding on for life. "Hmm... Let's see what happens when I press the red button."

Masiyoshi got up as the weapon fired. Lifting his gun, he fired into the cockpit. The pilot ducked for cover, and began firing back. Masiyoshi knew that he would die with no cover, so he jumped into the cockpit, and started fist-fighting the pilot. After Masiyoshi was slammed against a wall, the pilot lifted his pistol and fired seven shots in Masiyoshi's direction. He narrowly dodged each shot, and elbowed the unsuspecting Kazinite in the groin. Wincing in pain, the pilot fell over.
Masiyoshi proceeded to the storage hold, and lifted his sword as soon as he saw Furo. "This ends here, Furo! Either you hand me the document or you die!"
Furo used his powers to make the wires from the door control emerge and latch onto Masiyoshi's arms. "Is it me that's going to die?" Furo asked, mockingly.
Masiyoshi struggled to get free, but couldn't. "You don't understand how important it would be if the humans of Earth went extinct, do you?"
"How would it do any good?" Masiyoshi spat.
"Your great-grandfather was a terrorist, Masiyoshi. He killed innocent people for his own gain," Furo said.
"Virolvv killed him years ago. Why didn't he just let it go?" Masiyoshi demanded.
"Your grandfather said it had to do something with tarnishing Kazin. That has nothing to do with anything. Virolvv wouldn't give a damn if the planet burned to ashes."
"So what is this about? Why the war?" Masiyoshi asked.
"Virolvv defeated Kanzaburou one-hundred fifty years ago, but Sahaji Kozumi was infuriated, and continued to attack for revenge. It wasn't until fifty years ago that Sahaji was slain as well. Virolvv decided to declare war 48 years ago to stop the human nature of revenge and greediness," Furo said.
"That is a lie! Sahaji was there to stop the Kazinites from invading Earth!"
"Let me continue. As Virolvv continued his attacks on Earth, he began to hate humans even more than when they killed his father. As he was creating a plan for the KZD-01, his wife became pregnant. Virolvv was very excited, but it all turned into anguish when one of Sahaji's old squad members killed his wife. That squad member was Odoru Nami. I assume you've heard of him?"
Masiyoshi's eyes went wide. "Odoru Nami was a mobster in Tokyo. Why would he be on Grandfather's squad?"
"Your grandfather recreated the Kanza to avenge his father's death. After that, he planned on going back to what the Kanza did before the war: smuggle goods."
Masiyoshi's anger rose. He snapped the wires quickly and rushed up to Furo, punching him hard in the face, making him drop the document. "You are a liar! I know my grandfather would never do something so wicked!"
"You are fighting on the wrong side, Kozumi."
Masiyoshi pulled out his sword. "I know my grandfather and father wouldn't do such things. You are the one fighting on the wrong side."
Furo tried to get up, but the sword was angled above his neck. "End of the line. Tell the pilot to land the ship, and I'll have you both arrested."
Furo didn't tell the pilot anything. With his lightning-fast speed, he darted towards the door on hte side of the ship, and jumped out. Masiyoshi tried to stop him, but couldn't. "You'll never defeat me!" Furo shouted as he fell.
Masiyoshi was about to turn around, when he was pushed out the door by the pilot. But Masiyoshi wouldn't give up without a fight. He grabbed onto the pilot's arm as began falling. The pilot quickly reacted, grabbing a parachute before the two fell.
Kicking and punching, the Kazinite tried to get Masiyoshi off of him, but to no avail. Masiyoshi slowly lifted his sword, ready to kill the pilot, when a giant ice platform was formed underneath them. He stood in shock, realizing that one of his adversaries was alive again...
