MUST I WAIT FOR A POEM?
Must I wait for a poem? Or can I call it forth By inspiration fleeting Living well in a dream beating In my twilight sleeping Or in my awakening leaping? Must I wait for a poem to appear When in my thoughts are always here Will I call it by strict Demand? By performance command will it stand? Or must I wait for a pleasurable thought. Perhaps experiences that my life overwrought? I do not have to wait for pleasure or fear I am a poet and I am here… By Earthene Fleming October 17, 2010
