WDC Writers Cramp 10.17.10 for 10.18.10
New Prompt! Roland S. Barth said, “Little will really change unless we change ourselves. Think otherwise. Fly the cage. Make your presence felt . . . “ For today’s prompt you must title your story or poem, “Fly the Cage.” 14 lines of fluttering joy FLY THE CAGE! In a hyperactive leap across the counterpane of my bed, my somewhat-less-than-tame-or-sane housecats flew at the closed window, spurred by an innocent, unsuspecting butterfly zooming past the glass. A clueless observer would have been astonished by the activity; the cats acted like they were going to see a live mouse act, or something better! But it was just a pretty, flapping butterfly soaring past their view, that made them want to fly the cage of their normal world, to seek the fluttering unknown!
