I AM THE JAGUAR
I AM THE (JAG--U--GWAR )* I Am the Jaguar The Americas biggest cat! North or South in jungles muddy and thick You will find me in places just like this. Also in deserts miles and miles flat. I Am the Jaguar, the Americas Biggest Cat. On the ground Out on a limb Just going down stream For a nice long swim, I maintain my two hundred sixty pounds. I Am the Americas’ Jaguar Lean, strong, and sleek; but not puffy round. When I am hungry for a little snack I stretch out on my favorite tree. I patiently wait because it is necessary To quietly snap up --you know --- Those tasty pig-like creatures who show We call them yummy. They are peccaries. With one big bite I go for the kill. For me it’s a thrill; for them—a chill! I quickly spring back into my tree. Because one is not nearly enough for me. Yeah, I wait for another smacking good kill. The herd never hears me I am so still. I Am the Jaguar, The biggest of the Americas Cats. You should see my wonderful Tawny coat embellished by tiny rosettes. My creator wisely chose right colors to set Surrounded and embraced by spots (They just maybe the death of my lot.) This is what fills me ire. Greedy men -- my pelt desire. I Am the Jaguar The Biggest of the Americas Cats. Well, my story would certainly here end. If I didn’t have such powerful friends. In Belize and Mexico they set up Reserves. Trying to protect me and progeny preserve. I live at the Biosphere Preserve - in the Yucatan. They really know how to save me From the clutches of man. So, come! Wave and say “Hi!” Be glad that I am around and did not die. I Am the Jaguar The Biggest of the Americas Cats!
