tears for no reason
women break easily ~

                   women break easily
                   time after time
                   it's the one
                   that is leaving
                   we miss (by design)
                   a lifetime of struggle
                   which fight
                   do we choose

                   fighting to love
                   or fighting to lose

                   I've wondered
                   so long
                   why love feels this way
                   tears
                   for no reason
                   and nights melt away
                   where truth used to swim
                   sheets sweated
                   by word
                   couldn't be more
                   (we wanted much more)

                   than silence (the answers)
                   we heard

                   what evermore waited
                   now settles for this
                   a moment forgotten
                   the taste of a kiss
                   I do what I do
                   and he does
                   what he will
                   the same was good
                   sometimes
                   (a memory still)
                   we fell into something
                   no longer the same
                   yesterday
                   fated to shadows

                   (and no one to blame)

                   what we couldn't know
                   we've learned to ignore
                   what's the point
                   when we don't touch
                   the same as before
                   forever is left
                   being broken
                   (wondering where the
                   ending begins)
                   just the way
                   we remembered
                   the moon
                   as hands holding
                   soft (was that love)
                   breaking in
