he had a fever for an exquisite jewel
forbidden fruit, paid for at an illegal price
she came to him draped in elegance
delicate lace in virginal white
waist length hair of silken ebony

her moist copper eyes sparkled in candlelight
she stripped with experience
firm breasts, swollen nipples, small waist
womanly hips move to reveal jewels
soon naked in full glory, no shame

the night began with innocent exploring
soon the silk sheets were discarded
movements like an erotic poem
bodies fit in perfect harmony
like their creator intended

as time flew by, he forgot
she was nothing, a bought woman
surely he had touched her heart
the place she kept caged up
she had given up her key

they slept like spoons
when he woke, she was an angel
needing a man to protect, care for her
that is his calling now, to be her man
he will give her the world

she opened innocent eyes
then the curtains closed
all a mirage, he was doomed
her specialty was vulnerability
he wasn’t the first to feel this way

it was a simple business deal
she took the money, completed her disguise
she would be a used woman at thirty
so sad, was it drugs or the life?
her heart hollow, the emotional beat gone

she looked into his eyes
he looked like a puppy she once had
so long ago, her father threw it away
she touched this man’s cheek
“Sir, thank you for a fairy tale”
