                                                Star in the window...

                                                          By

                                                  Bakhtawar Wasi

When the day grows old in the misty evening,

When the sun drops down upon the horizon

When darkness swallow away the light

You were there, try to forget you as I might.

That funky style of saying things

That breathtaking beauty upon the ring!

That twinkling shine of thine eyes

That bristling ferocity of thine smile

My heart it took along the bait.

Closing upon the marshes,

Cutting all hedges clear.

Running in upon telling me I’m the one who is the fair.

Fair maiden of your heart,

Getting my head to fall apart

Your love is what I crave

Without it I’m but a grave

Life was a moment apart from night

Waiting for me to embrace the light

Your love light shown far, near all right

Beneath the moors and above the skies.

The hugging sensation of fireflies

Beneath your love all it lies.

The dusky November with it’s rain have come,

Make way for love for the time has come.

The lord and ladies of Eaves have,

What chance and hope for the night star they have.

A star that shines even in the light

Showing upon it’s face it’s power and might

Love sick has all the maidens become

But his heart is content for the one who has come.

A mortal amongst immortal beings

Have changed his heart and doings.
