Weary Soldier
Rated: E | Poetry | War | #1723536
An acrostic poem about soldiers in Iraq
Weary Soldier

Sand in his eyes and under his skin, he feels an
Overwhelming desire to leave this hell-hole.
Living a nightmare every day,
Death and horror becomes a routine
Image in his weary mind.
Ever vigilant to keep his men safe, and always
Remembering his loved ones waiting at home.
Soldier dutifully serves his beloved country.
