Vocabulary List

Alacrity Callous
Extol Fractious
Haughty Knell
Refurbish Venerable
Zenith Staid

Oh, most venerable Creator,
I praise your Great and Holy name.
I know that I'm a sinner,
For this I am ashamed.

My spirit is so weak and fractious,
Only You can make me whole.
I strive to live like You each day;
To give You full control.

Please forgive my haughty nature,
Of sins of arrogance and pride.
I am just a callous human
Who has cheated, and has lied.

With alacrity I thank You, Lord.
For the blessings bestowed on me.
I extol Your omnipotence,
For You, alone are worthy.

And, at the sounding of the death knell,
When this old life shall pass away,
I want to live with you, Jesus,
Forever, this I pray.

Father, you are my zenith,
You are everything I need
You are the Bright Morning Star,
You are the Christ, indeed.

Please guide my path through this life,
Until, I'm with You, Lord, again.
These things, I ask, in Your name
My Father, Savior and Friend.

Amen
