It was just one of those house-warming things
where folks act silly and everyone sings. The strangest family I had ever met moved in next door with an odd-looking pet. I saw the beast romp all around the room, pursued by a lady swinging a broom. The pet was huge with a powerful tail; the woman was small but she wasn't frail. The beast provoked this little lady's ire by setting the drapes in the den on fire. The inferno blazed with the darkest smoke and many of the guests began to choke. When the firefighters came upon the scene, the odd-looking creature leaped through a screen. The fire chief gave a stern kind of warning: that flame throwing beast must leave by morning.
