Who and where am I the photo
A child hiding from the bombs Exploding a million fragments My memory here in hospital A thank you prayer to God His heart a gift for me A blood transfusion To see in heaven His beauty Free to live a life Without the thought Man’s hate for each other The false democracy denied Do as we say or suffer in pain Our weapons will rule the world. Refugees can't weep when torn Holding my dolly so afraid to die There to see my mother Comforting me Innocent here Hiding away ashamed The chaos from the rebels Searching for us on a train home, Where I was born a happy baby With a dad to love and hold His songs a melody To dance With mom and me So sweet a memory there Now fading to grey my dad at war. What for a land stripped and bare Mine bombs hidden in roads The cowards hiding away In Somalia Where we lived a holy life Sowing seeds of faith in God His mercy in heaven home at last.
