I should not have dreamt about you last night,
or your eyes so deep and brown, or your lips and how I long to feel them pressed against mine. I should not remember, as I look into them even now, how I felt in that dream when your hand gently stroked my skin. You are not mine and I belong to him. So I should not have thought about your smile and the way it makes me smile with just the memory. I should not stand so close or try to inhale your fragrance so that I may never forget it again. I should not have dreamt about you last night, and I should wake from this dream now.
