![]() As fugitives they fled to the woods. Taking with them weapons and goods. These patriotic brothers of a partisan war. Set up bunkers on the thick forest floor- The "Forest Brothers" of the backwoods. Fiercely fighting against communism. Courageously, expressing their altruism. Raging a desperate struggle for freedom ...They fled to the woods. Thousands fought and hid in the forest. Some may recognize them as war's bravest. Battalions came and combed the thicket. Many of the enemy went home in a casket Before amnesty came and laid the war to rest. ...They fled to the woods.
