I cry out in vain, like a tender, meek lamb,
Hurt by the latest, unruly sham, Tinged with emotion, unloved as I am, All's not forgiven, with my power to damn… Love tries to conquer, but who shall prevail? Who shall disown this bleak fire sale? The ghost with a past, so doomed to fail, Or the one, pure of heart, so great is his tale? The Lord instills peace, deep down inside, Giving up His Son to belligerent pride; Swallow your hubris, in Jesus abide, Thou shall seek heaven amid saintly stride! For life is a journey through darkest of night, And all shall fear Heaven, if out of God's sight, To not see His glory, just terrible blight, Is a disservice to Him, and all of His might...
