We took it in turns
To ask the cards
Any question we wanted to
And she dealt out the answer
Sometimes confusing
Most times clear.
One of my questions
Will you come back?
They showed a yes
Will I move within the next year?
They showed a yes
And also a boy involved
'Ha, you might move in with him'
I thought about it
'Nah, prolly other way round.'
She asked the cards
Will she find true love?
It didn't give a clear answer
But it showed an old woman
Which she interpreted as being alone
But there was an old man too, I pointed out
Yes but it says here a 'friend'
So?
Maybe you'd rather be alone
Nah
I think you'll find true love
Nah
So I asked the same thing
And it showed young people
And strength
Which she took to mean I will soon
And I took to mean.. maybe I already had
But who says that if you find your true love
They will love you?
Who says that even if you find that person
They will feel the same way?
Or they could leave
Or have an accident
And then what?
I asked a q I was thinkin about
Since it's that time of year...
Will I break my promise again?
I asked the cards silently
They showed an old lady
Surrounded by friends
And I smiled
And took it as a no
So that was great
But then I asked myself
Do I believe that?
I want to
It's been almost 7 months
Longer than before
But...
Crap.
If I Hadn't Stuffed It Up It Could Have Been A WHOLE YEAR Yesterday!
I'm so angry with myself.
But next time I will ask the cards something else.
I will ask if the things I did are forgivable.
And I don't know what to expect but..
I don't think they are.
