The Burden
The strange star faded

and the wise men left.

Joseph lay awake at night

thinking, "why me?

Why has God chosen me

to bear this burden?"

He watched Mary

and the Child sleep.

The lonely pain

to endure,

to be the guide,

made his heart quiver.

How could he guide the Glory,

that would guide the world?
