I hear the rain fall softly in my mind,
and tapping against the glass, beckoning me to remember. I close my eyes hypnotized by the symphony of memories trickling to the surface. The droplets cling to my vision sliding me from the present into a lake of forgotten feelings. The music is his whisper, and my blanket his arms. I drown in history. I feel his breath, soft on my neck, melting my heart, my will, one drop at a time... I feel his love soak through my skin, into my soul, causing me to gasp for air. My body shivers with the tender touch of smooth fingers, lips, skin. My body quivers with anticipation of being submerged in more than I ever imagined... Thunder cracks, lighting my mind, breaking the melody between present and memory. Thunder cracks, awakening me to the rain falling from my cheeks. I remembered too much.
