Dear

Ten-year-old Charlotte crept into the gloomy shop on her mission to find an unusual present for her mum. The creepy shopkeeper gave her a shock, popping up out of nowhere and staring at her as though he had never seen a customer before. He gave her a gift that resembled an antique snow dome. It didn’t work, but still, it was nice of him, she thought.

Drawn by the globes hypnotic power, she is plunged through a gateway to find herself lost and alone in a dark forest. She meets a young elf called Elderfield. He persuades her to return with him to his family on a promise that he will try and help her to find a way home.

She soon learns her encounter with the shopkeeper is more than just coincidence. In the safety of Elderfield’s kind family home, they receive an unusual message and embark on a journey in search of a group of travelling entertainers. But the journey turns into a nightmare as she witnesses the attack of real life monsters, dark creatures like something out of a horror movie. They flee for their lives, but a far greater threat shadows her every move.

Reaching the safety of the Stronghold, an ancient mountain fortress, Charlotte is abducted by a druid assassin, but in this realm, she is not the vulnerable little girl she thought she was. In desperation to save her friend, Charlotte is seriously injured, but manages to destroy the intruder using magic--magic she had no idea she could wield. This is when rumors started to spread, rumors that Charlotte is the Truth Teller, an elven folklore legend.

TRUTH TELLER, a Middle Grade Fantasy novel of 35,000 words, captures the innocence of childhood and the essence of real friendship, transcending race, age, and gender, as a young girl discovers true family values exist beyond her realm. Although this is the first book in a series, it can stand alone as a novel.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,
Kurt Chambers.
