Festive Season of Fun

Winter is the beginning of festivities.
Surely everyone happily agrees?
The fun, abundant for all to participate.
There is no time for a stalemate.

Start the fun when snow is falling.
It’s a perfect setting for ample snow-balling!
When the flurry settles, scramble to create,
Mr. Snowman at a rapid rate.

Next test those freshly hanging icicles.
Eat then quick, don’t freeze your knuckles.
Break out the sleds, head for the slope.
Have control downhill, use the rope.

When you are freezing cold, run indoors.
Look for festive snacks each person adores.
Popcorn, taffy and chocolate fudge,
Eat large quantities until you can’t budge.

Later that evening circle the grand piano.
Join in with carols so all will be aglow.
Time for bed, sleep and dreaming.
Tomorrow will be great to go ice skating.
