A Marriage Defined The bond we share is one of love My feelings are uxorious Granted on high from up above Coupled and oh so glorious A tight nucleus that is strong Inseparable through it all No need to lambast or to wrong No problem is ever too small We adhere to the vows we made Harrowing as they are to keep Renewing the love, lest it fade Promises that always run deep A union to be protracted Based off love and never hate Respecting what we enacted Not needing to pontificate In a world that’s filled with friction We try hard to remain steadfast Standing in juxtaposition Confident it’ll forever last They say opposites can attract Then we are the antithesis Commonly alike in our pact Completing each other’s pieces Love is taxing, as a tariff Requiring a committed soul God delivered me, my seraph And in turn, he made my life whole This to me, the definition Of what a marriage should portray Never seeking recognition A blessing each and every day
