I am an angel and I'm here to protect you.
I am an angel, here to watch over you.
Be it either fate or chance, it is I and I alone.
Rather than wonder how or why, your own
concerns should deal with thanks and gratitude.
However, listen not to me, for my attitude
is removed from the dabbles of your world.
I am an angel.

I am an angel, here to tempt thee.
I am an angel, here to torture thee.
Fear not, for I ask nothing of you,
I, instead, offer everythin unto you.
Do not trouble yourself with pious fraud
or old prejudices in league with a disillusioned god;
a god who once cared but has now abandoned your world.
I am an angel.

I am an angel, sent to recite a message.
I am an angel, meant to hear a mission.
I take no sides, and fight no one's fight.
If I take a stand, it is for my Master and his light.
I, like God, do not take sides, for if I were,
then the other side would fail for sure.
Alas! That is not my place, for it is not my world.
I am an angel.

I am an angel, bent on truth and knowledge.
I am an angel, sent to pull you from the ledge.
To know is to have, and to have is to know.
Ah, that is why I know, that is what makes me go.
In the end, though, what we know is useless,
and thus, all hope boils down to our strengths and weaknesses.
But, on that day, I interfere not in your affairs, for it is not my world.
I am an angel.

I am an angel, full of joy and song.
I am an angel, loud and full of stories long.
Ask for a tale, and one you shall recieve.
Ask for a vision, and one you might percieve.
To what end shall my endeavors entail thee?
Will you soon be satisfied with what talent the Master has instilled in me?
For the great legends, you must wait; they are not of this world.
I am an angel.

I am an angel, bursting with love.
I am an angel, coming from above.
Coming to warn of wave crashing by,
to present a gift from one who shall soon die.
It is a lie to say I do not hate, for I do,
but when I do, it is only in lew
of reason and justice, but not reason or justice of this world.
I am an angel.

I am an angel, or so the Master proclaims.
I am an angel, at least, for some I am the same.
My name is no holy book, but my presence is felt
all over, from every breeze to every pelt
of rain; I will outlive the rain, the moon, the stars.
I will linger on for ages uncounted, my travels shall be far.
But for all my lonliness, I will not miss the world.
(Full of all it's tragedies and travesties,
comings and goings, peasants and majesties,
hate and war, terror and disease, death.
Full of famine, many an un-holy breath,
genocide, homicide, suicide,
boiling over with events that coincide
with notthing more than despair.
After polluting all the souls and all the air,
I no longer care for the world.)
I am an angel.
