The Young Wolf
She peers around an aspen tree...

Her bright white coat lights up the night
with piercing eyed desire.
She peers around an aspen tree,
a moonlit flame of fire.

The blood of prey is on her paws,
a sustenance for life.
She cries in a submissive way
to veer away from strife.

She doesn't dominate the pack;
she dons a younger face.
The wolves are spread about the woods
and seek a resting place.
