I got nothing done today, I got nothing done today, A poem or two was not why I was hired. But the work I’ve done today, the searching of my soul, the words I’ve written to you, I can’t help but think they were meant to be said by me, on this very day. If I’d been doing my work, these words would have been forgotten, been left unsaid. When I die, I’d hate to be told, a little too late, that my work here on earth had very little to do with my day job.
