Together you and I
Rated: E | Poetry | Experience | #1737906
a burning desire for love that continues to build into something bigger
Ive been alone today;
And for a few brief moments I missed you.
I thought the feelings have long subsided,
but they returned to me
Like a rushing river flowing through my heart.
Images of you grasped me like clenched fists
Full of your undying love for me.
For a moment I missed your soft kisses
That taste like honeysuckle on my tongue.
Your lips like a soft, velvety flower against mine.
Our minds caught in the glory of our togetherness.
Your smile could light a thousand darkened skies.
The touch of your hand
Fills in me the power of love your love.
My soul is nothing but a burning fore of desire.
A desire to have you, to hold you,
For you to be my own.
Flames burn higher and higher
Every time we touch
And burn hotter and hotter
Every day that we're apart.
Your laughter is music to my ears
Which quickly turns into a beautiful symphony.
The warmth of your embrace pushes out the coldness in me
and we unite.
The love we share makes us one
Together you and I.
