Resolutions
Reasons why I justify not following my resolutions are merely Excuses weakly recited for unintended promises unkept, So often made for no other reason than because I have Offered far too many goals for any human being in one year's time, Left out the much needed plans, the blueprints of change, and the puctuality to check the clock, Unintentionally replaced my own goals with another’s plans for my self-improvement, Tried with futile drive to become someone other than the one I was born to be, Intentionally tried to flog myself with shoulds, need to’s, and what-ifs, while all the time, Overlooking the fact that I was born a dreamer and a poet, Not a punctual, rule-minded bureaucrat or a professional organizer. So, instead, I resolve only to continue my journey inside myself, and to share what I find there more freely. Brandy (SWPoet) Wk 1: Acrostics ![]()
