To my grandchildren and to my WDC friends,(?) I am "Nani". I am mother to three and grandmother to six. I retired from the State of Georgia a little over 2 years ago,(1) and have found that I am much busier now than when I worked outside the home. For many years, (?)I found myself saying ,(?)"I will have time to do that when I retire." I had many prospective projects when retirement came!
I,(?) of course, (?)love to write, (?)and I love WDC. This community of writers has been very helpful to me in my pursuit of the written word. Like all writers, (2)I am chasing the dream of getting my words to the masses. Religious poetry is my preferred genre,(1) but I have written short stories and am working on a novel, too. (But,(?) isn't everyone?)
In addition to writing, (?)I enjoy drawing, (?)painting, (?)jewelry-making,(?) embroidery, (?)and other crafts. I love to read. I am very active in my church. There I teach Sunday School and co-direct VBS, (4a) among other things. Finally, in my "spare" time, I visit my children and grandchildren, who,(?) sadly,(?) don't live near-by, (?)garden, (?)take care of goats, (?)dogs and a cat, (?)cook, (?)sometimes cater, (?)and take care of my husband and my house. I guess (4c)that I am just one of those people who are like the "Every-ready bunny".
I am a native South Georgian. I grew up on a farm in a rural area (4b)where I lived in a household with my parents,(?) my grandparents,(?) my great-grandmother, (?)my aunt, (?)and a great-uncle. It was a wonderful , (3a)happy childhood! I benefited greatly from their wisdom.
