DT #1 - What did you think about this first Lesson? Had you heard some of these rules before? Do you think what you have learned this week will cause you to edit some of your existing work?
My, Winnie, you certainly pack a lot into a lesson! I haven’t had to think so much in a long time! I hope that I can keep up. It has been many years since I have even thought about punctuation in such detail. I think that it will be helpful in all of my writing, not only my pieces for WDC, but any correspondence, as well. I am sure that I will be editing to see if I need to “redo” those pesky little commas.

DT #2 - How do you feel about proof-reading and editing your work before you post it in your portfolio? Do you think it affects your reputation as a knowledgeable author to polish your work before others read it--or do you feel that a written work riddled with comma errors is no big deal?
Proof-reading is one of those necessary evils that all writers must perform! However, no matter how many times I proof something, I often find that I have omitted some detail. I think that all authors should “polish, polish, polish” if they want to be read and not criticized. Paying attention to detail should not be a chore, but should be a part of the finished product.
