Script scratchpad (Rough notes)
===================================================== The idea is like this - in near future, google-map was opened up for gaming and location-based mobile app service providers. So there is this game called real-life grand-prix which lets you choose your city from google map, choose a path via streets and roads and loads the conditions like width of street, quality of road, 1-way, 2-way etc and lets you create your own race course and play with multiple players across the world and the fun part is that the map could be updated real-time and one more feature. You can choose with traffic or without traffic in which the gaming server simulates traffic of that country. The game simulates everything in virtual 3-D locations, pavements, signs in native languages, traffic lights, lamp posts and even people. There is also one more feature - Based on location-based-consortium's recommendations, web5.0 has developed uniqued GPS/Location based lookup for a given yellow-page address, map to the appropriate web-page and query the web-page if there is virtual-3d-tour-model available for that location/landmark - if found, the motorist in the game can park the car in nearest parking lot, take a virtual tour in the landmark of choice. The game is called "Universal motorist". The virtual 3-d model is arrived at based upon google-earth, satellite images and webcam images and images from 3g/4g phones. There is this giant cloud-super computer owned by google which "Stitches" all the images into a cohesive image and stored - this is the supercomputer with gigantic diskspaces stored in rural towns owned by google. You can even setup routes across national borders and can even drive across countries and even setup imaginary "portals" in games which will magically beam-you/transport you from street in one city to another city in another country altogether and continue the game in another race-course setup. So you can get excited when you are driving street in Mumbai, you can "jump" to a street in New york and then to a highway/street in Shangai and the course is entirely set by gamer. Since it is virtual 3-d, the landmarks, pictures are real and it appears like you are in driver's seat and the view is from within your car you are driving. Other gamers also choose their car/bike/tuk-tuk/tricycle/snowboard/motorcycle/their-own-assembled-vehicle.. The game also simulates consumption of gas/electricity and shows the nearest points for gas/electricity refill/recharge. The game provides a global-currency-card which needs to be filled before the game. So you can play "around the world in 2hours" types of contests.. Rules of the game: 1. Each gamer gets a virtual avatar, one of models of means of transport 2. Each gamer should obey traffic rules of that country 3. Gamer gets tank-full of gas to start with and it is his/her responsibility to know the milage of vehicle and fill up the tank whenever in whatever country 4. Each one should play by rules - bumping, deliberately crashing or parking/stalling traffic deliberately boots out the gamer (most of gamers from india get booted out this way) 5. Each accident provides an instant road-side assistence virtual character who fixes the vehicle for a cost debited from your card 6. Your game aborts when you run out of gas, crash yourself out, run out of money in your card. 7. When you refill your card, you will start from whatever course in whatever country you last crashed/parked (or can start from begining) 8. In rally/tourist mode, the gamer can park car only for a certain duration (depending on membership packages) and take virtual tour of destination and buildings (if they are supported) 9. Other gamers can leave hints which come as pop-ups - the driver can choose to take or ignore it (as deliberately misleading hints which could take one to a dead-end or a ravine could be setup by miscreants/pranksters) 10. An around of world tour must cover atleast one country in each of the five continents. 11. You can team up with virtual buddies upto 4 to help you out in driving in each of those countries. 12. There can be plain desert lands in which there can be no road - but in these rally courses, like in real-life, there could be little/no virtual road-side assistence if you crash The giant super computer computes the traffic, your virtual projection, other elements of physics like speed of impact, wind blowing, traffic light timing, sand-storms, rains, slippery roads, pot holes, bumps etc etc etc - It is this super-computer which assesses the impact damage and trigger road-side assistence of aborting a game. It is this super computer which provides the "real" video of these locations (as anyone could see when he/she gets beamed down to that particular GPS location) taken from satellites/phones/photographs and "fills up the missing pieces through advanced technology which retrieves the light from sides of photographs". The computer generates a 360 degree view at anypoint in time to let the driver turn around and view the side mirrors/behinds - to give a realistic feeling of driving there. Pretty soon countries which do not have strict democracy saw this game as a potential threat in which foreigners (possibly foreign intelligence service or even militaries) could be downloading the 3-D map model of their countries (or arm twisting google or the highly powerful gaming companies which got most of their young kids under addiction of their real-life games to get those models) for their "invasion/surgical operations" simulations.. Some countries even hackup googlemap and seed wrong "GPS location" information to confuse others and not giving them full picture of the maps/locations of their countries. The flip-side of it - would be terrorists, assasins also getting virtual 3-D trainings of places to carry out their missions. The story is how in that scenario one sensitive not-well known path across borders in a sensitive country was somehow hacked up and injected into the map from now where (by some hacker with his tablet) for only one "chosen" gamer called gamer-X (who does not know about this) to show him the "secret highway" to some secret military/nuclear installations and gamer-x shares with his friends (one of whom is a foreign spy) and for which he becomes a threat for that country and hunted down like julian assange. (for example) The story is about how gamer-x finally comes face-face in that virtual-3D world and how he finds that he is actually a setup/mole-hunt to capture that spy who transfers/data/sensitive information through game downloads/patches.. The story is a thriller in which gamer-x somehow feels stalked and his vehicle bumped in this virtual-3d world - wherever race-course he goes to. The story ends with gamer-x collaborating with this foreigh spy exposing the nuclear research to the whole wide world which causes change. It is a normal sunny day in virtual world. Gamer-x sets up his courses for around-the-world-in-2hours game setup. This time it is not a grand-prix - but more of a casual drive/rally along with his virtual buddies. While going through the desert in one of a countries (which is supposedly developing a deadly fusion bomb - the mother of all fusion bombs - which can incenerate an area of 10000sq miles if dropped) a secret flashing high-way sign board suddenly opens up out of nowhere. Gamer X takes a right turn into that secret highway. And 10mins into the drive, there was not one soul around in the virtual world driving. The Gas empties and Gamer-x gets down and starts walking along the motorway. Meanwhile at the nuclear research command facility in the real-world nuclear-research lab in the desert - access to a highly-secretive-level-5-clearance-requirement-virtual-model is accessed through network from an obscure gamer-x via internet - alarms the cyber counter-intel wing that someone is gathering location information for GPS location which corresponds to location of this facility - over the net. They have powerful computers to analyse videos, voices real-time and also have put "monitors" in all mapping sw like google-earth, google-map so when a forbidden area GPS is accessed, alarm bells rings. The cyber counter-intel leads directly to gamer-x's house internet connection. In the "future" (and who knows possibly the present) giant google server-farms are placed along with cloud-super-computers which churn out virtual models for millions of 3g/4g tablets/pcs/phones when provided a gps location from those devices. Not known to the outside world is that there are some peculiar colored electric cable bundles entering the sever farm. These electric cables go via underground and enter an innocent-looking-ordinary apartment except that apartment is an automated security fortress. Not known to outside world is that these electric cables carry optical fiber bundles which take out trillions and trillions of bits of information from googlemap/earth server computers and crunch them for data using a giant supercomputer housed inside one of those apartments. The apartments is indeed the cyber counter-intel of the future. With google becoming center of internet universe and with gazillion amount of data and explosive number of optical cables - it became cost prohibitive for government to transport all those to the "Mountain" where the housed the "mother of super computers" - They would rather have super-computers closer to google farms and have these super-computers sync-up only relevant patterns/data identified. Most of famous networking companies provide gear for this project in the future.. So gamer-x and his buddies get into trouble for revealing state secrets and a secret group is formed to contain the damage. First gamer-x looses his internet connection for 5 mins (for some strange reason in future where internet connection is a birth-right) and comes back (Not known to gamer-x is that his computer is hacked and information of his game location is sent back to cyber intel) Gamer-x along with his buddies take that "Secret/forbidden highway" again (this time with filled gas tank) travel at 100miles/hour for 10mins and see nothing (if they had travelled 10 more minutes, they would have come across a military checkpost and would have seen the nuclear research facility). Gamer-x concludes that this is some kind of prank a hacker has intended and returns back without going further in that highway. Now the entire cyber counter-intel has their "laser-focus" on gamer-x. The foreign spy that is chasing gamer-x in this virtual-3d game is Ms.Y. Ms.Y thinks that gamer-x is one of the foreign spies from her parent country - seeded into the game (without knowing that it is a setup) - to whom she is supposed to colloborate/gather/transfer the information - But Ms.Y wants to know for sure - because gamer-x is ignorant/naive about her presence. Ms.Y sets up a series of traps (dead-ends) for gamer-x - Ms.Y wants to manipulate gamer-x movements to get into the end of that forbidden/secret highway so that she can steal the secrets of the nuclear research facility by doing a virtual walkthrough because whatever gamer-x sees Ms.Y can also see. Finally gamer-x finds out that Ms.Y is stalking him - so he makes the trip to this secret facility finally and takes the virtual tour - Ms.Y provides cyber protection to fool the google server that it is accessing some other GPS location - to prevent alarms. Gamer-x finds out the nuclear research and wants the whole world know about this secret highway - He announces it as the highway where anyone can ear free gas miles and free points - so around 1000s of gamers start travelling through this highway - causing the cyber counter-intel to deliberately crash the google server - bringing the entire game down. But before they shut down, Ms.Y sets up a bug which corrupts the entire database of images - so the image stitching function is corrupted - permanently damaging the contents of database - but not before Ms.Y along with gamer-x steal the entire blue-print of this nuclear fusion research facility and blueprints of the supercomputer simulations and impact analysis of this fusion bomb and it's impact on a populated metropolis city of an enemy country (when that bomb is dropped).. This information reaches public domain and causes an outrage and outcry forcing the government to curb the research and release the funds for nuclear waste treatment and disposal. (to which those funds were originally intended for) ========================================================== Script workarea: (Actual story) ========================================================== To be continued..
