A Single Etheree poem written for Week 3, Poetic Explorations, offered from the child's point of view.
Mom, I'm blessed to have you as my mother. I'm small, and yet safe, I babble, and you coo, I cry, and you console me. I offer little in return for all your unconditional love. My heart and life are yours, now and always. Author's Note: An Etheree poem consists of ten lines, beginning with one syllable line, and adding one syllable to each line for an overall syllable count of 55. The syllabic structure for a Single Etheree is as follows: 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10.
