This gent, Harry Drew, just awkwardly swayed,
And bit down hard – he was so dismayed; Called at rudely by a some clumsy, old flake, Because he pointed out the dumb fool’s mistake! Then, driving home in quite a big hurry, He wound up caught in a huge traffic flurry, Covering inches instead of miles, The incessant braking – this congestion riles… Arriving home, suddenly, all angry and sad, He succumbed to grief – so sorry he’d been had; His ex-wife had called, demanding to talk, But throughout it all, he’d decided to balk... Then, in his mailbox, a charming invitation, From a local university, about a graduation, Finally, some news that he couldn’t disparage – His lovely daughter was finishing college! Then, he reached over and picked up a picture, Of him on vacation with his beautiful daughter, In Aspen, Colorado, for a weekend of skiing; A time revisit, such joy they were feeling! Life can be filled with such anger and stressing, But love for one’s children doesn’t offer much guessing; Better, he remain this happily endowed – A father whose child makes him so very proud!
