My body ages but not gracefully
showing wrinkles and sags. My gait is slower as I stumble along in life still trying to smile. No one said age creeps up fast without realizing it. I stumbled through life giving no thought to my body changing, and my mind slowing down. Now here I stand all alone gripping my cane tightly. Hoping that the one I see in the mirror isn't me but a reflection of someone else. I'm not ready to be old.
