The Resurrection
A parable on life and death as whispered to me Samuel Paul by the Father

In a dark forbidden place death assembled
it marched confidently towards the light to do battle
the fight would rage for days and hours
"You are death!"
Life confronted death and death denied
"I am not death...I am not death...I am not death"
death chanted with mocking laughter
for on this hour death would triumph
death entered that most sacred place to claim its bounty
"I don't have one of these" as it eyed a dazzling glowing object
collecting that most cherished soul with tormenting malice
the silence of the trickling death was deafening
It was broken by a commanding voice of divinity
"Arise!"
"Go now, hastily, and return that which belongs to me!"
Life rose, feeling a renewed strength, empowered by Majesty
leaving the light, Life entered into the forbidden darkness
"I return devout!
"To reclaim that which was taken!"
a furious battle ensued as death confronted Life
with death unwilling to release its treasure
and unable to make contact with Life to reject
for days and hours to and fro the battle raged
"You are death!...You are death!...You are death!" came the chant
As Life began its ascension from the forbidden darkness
Life turned to gaze at death with final words
"I am not death, for faithfully, I am everlasting Life"
These things I say to you that you may know
our Father will not forsake you, even on your last hour.
