ALLAH OR CHRIST?—a sonnet

Should we hate those who don’t agree with us
And believe that what we think is not true?
Should differences make us so anxious
As to try to vanquish them or subdue?

Men have been fighting too much for ages
In the name of their own respective god.
Though He does indeed have many faces,
To fight over His faces is but odd.

Some say that Christ is the only saviour,
While others say Allah is the true name.
Ignorant, in fact, is such behavior;
They forget that Allah and Christ are same.

When will man this basic truth realize:
God is one; to fight for Him is unwise?
