Everything was still, no footsteps moving,
no breeze blowing, all was quiet.
Slowly, out of a dark hole,
a tiny white mouse appeared.
Soon, after the full moon comes out from
behind the cloud, an owl hooted.
Then I heard something different, something
very familiar, so I got up and looked.
A beautiful wild black Mustang horse
was running around,
in the meadow
leaping into the air.
A train, 60 miles away from home,
sounds its horn as it gets ready to travel west.
Outside I tripped from a hole in the
ground, facing a pearly white egg.
Picking the egg up,
I looked over to the meadow
and saw the Mustang,
watching.
In the horse's eyes, I saw a calm silence,
the kind of silence
I wished I'd always have.
In the morning I woke up
thinking of the Mustang,
a turquoise dragon landed on me.
On the radio downstairs
I heard the news
saying the train heading west crashed,
and fell into a river.
