No Other Way an old shoe at the side of the road remembers: his hand and her foot and the look of the warm air between their lips from themselves and each other's surfing on the clash of her high giggle and his low chuckle feeling like a free fall palpitation after a fifth line of coke and two shots of epinephrine into the heart- how can one sole continue the road with their memories of their lost life behind them? "The Writer's Cramp" Prompt: Write a romantic poem or story that includes the phrase "an old shoe at the side of the road". [16 lines]
