Desperately seeking meaning in a mundane world,
Filled with hurt and pain,
And an obvious lack of morals.
Out for number one,
Always taking,
And never giving in return.
The power of money,
An ever prevalent force.
The have and have-nots
Always at war.
Love, peace, and harmony
An ever increasing prayer.
While the faithless wonder-
Is there a God up there?
Like beings with no purpose,
We wander aimlessly day to day.
Boring, meaningless lives,
No kindness to repay.
Looking for ways to best the other man;
Instead of ways to lend a helping hand.
They say-
Be the change you want to see...
But am I enough of a change
For the world to believe?
