A Field of Blue Bonnets
In a field of blue bonnets, the ground soaked with rain, dusk is starting to set in. The puddles of water reflect the remains of the day. The wind blows softly around me, I think I hear you calling my name. Is this just my imagination, a wish of the heart, a dream that I crave? I've never met you, and yet you are my soul mate. Although I've never seen your face, I know you as I know no other. Our souls are as one, linked together - forever. I miss you, though we've always been apart. My arms ache to hold you, even though I've never held you before. Your kiss, my lips yearn to taste. My eyes search for your unfamiliar face. Time is not our friend. It's been too long, this separation has to end. Any longer and I fear time will run out, and I will have missed what life is all about. In a field of blue bonnets, the ground soaked with rain. Dusk has now set in. The puddles of water reflect the remains of the day. With the wind blowing softly, I feel you surrounding me, holding me with arms I have yet to see.
