PARKING MY HEART

I'm parking my heart as I walk in the door,
you've been gone too long, can't take it anymore.
I promised myself I wouldn't fall in love again,
way too many times I've lost, trying to win!

(chorus)
There's always someone out there
who is much prettier than me.
Your roaming eyes keep seeking
and it's time to set you free.

The dim lights and loud music are too much
for a broken heart to bear, without your touch.
Whiskey on your breath and a gleam in your eye,
I don't need to play that game, time to say goodbye.

I just came by to tell you that this is the end,
saying goodbye, its so long to you, my friend.
You don't seem to hear me, you think its a joke,
You just grab a cigarette and light up a smoke.

(chorus)
There's always someone out there
who is much prettier than me,
Your roaming eyes keep seeking
and it's time to set you free.

I am parking my heart, right up on the shelf,
going to do some heavy thinking about myself.
There has to be someone out there who will be
a man who is faithful, who will be true to me.

Leaving the bar and those bright lights behind,
one last look at the love I had hoped to find.
The girl in your arms will not ever be your last,
No matter what, this old love is in the past.

(chorus)
There's always someone out there
who is much prettier than me,
Your roaming eyes keep seeking
and it's time to set you free.

(fade)
Yes, I'm parking my heart,
Time to set both of us free.
parking my heart,
no more you and me...
