BLUESHIFT HORIZON
Behind the King's walls I have ridden Looking at my scattered pieces As under many trees have I waited For the apple; while across Bodies of water continuously sailed Never laughed from its taunting edge. Beneath ladders have I purposely stepped And the mirrors I've broken contained Only my reflection, still Into the breath of the earth I went defiant Jailed on a floating leaf. Hearing, Giants and dwarfs alike remark To your passing as time compressed You within me...to me Where the distance of you calls In redshift bypass. Solitary falls as dusk upon my skin Longing breaks the horizons of my hands Freed from the branches of a constellation The apple smiles And I follow surprised and curious; my footprints to their beginning. The always known is Now visible without belay As I have found you again In your closing space between My shimmer on your hand and Your place upon my lips Looking up Your blueshift splits my edge Spilling over the noise of silence Lighting sweetly down, over, and Into me.
