A Winters Night
Nightfall uncurls cloaking the light The glacier wind breathes in the cracks of solemn city dwellings Frost spreads stains on the iron roof slates- as the glass trickles slowly down wintry panes The shadows stir and fold into corners And the night cracks her knuckles on the canvas of sky And sleep sticks thickly to the eyelids of mankind
