WDC WRITERS CRAMP 022711 for 022811
Today’s story or poem must address the issue of why or why not people need to learn a second (or more) language (s). You characters could have a conversation about it, or one of them could demonstrate the advantages. ================================================================= ON LEARNING OUR LANGUAGE (a note from the cats!) Cats’ lives would be much easier if you could talk to us!. We know you wouldn’t like it but we could learn to cuss just like you do each time you spill hot coffee from your mug-- you spill each day; it makes you ill and splashes on the rug! We know you’re not too old to learn, And that you play with speech! Learning to speak OUR language Would make us fun to teach! Your talking would help discipline; we wouldn’t still pretend that we still have to cheat to win! Our silly games would end!
