My father lays there dying
Right in front of my eyes. Nothing I can do to help him It brings tears to my eyes. I say my last goodbyes And kiss him on the cheek. He slips away while I am there Into eternal sleep. Now he is at peace And suffering no more. I'm glad that I was there But sad to see him go. I've never forgotten That day I said goodbye. To the father I loved so dear I wish that he was still here.
