Scraps of wings or,
Father’s generous gifts Melted by imprudence and hubris. The son’s body, burnt sable, Grieving at his failure to heed The wisdom of paternal advice. A miniscule heart, gules, gives up Its strength as the boy falls On a field azure. Loyalty lost to the wind, Which now brings The fallen angel to a Rapid descent To the Hungry Sea Below… Inspired by "Icarus" by Henri Matisse http://www.artchive.com/artchive/m/matisse/icarus.jpg
