Winter Ends
The wind cries at the window, winter to end soon. Footsteps muffled by snow no more. Chimneys smoke to keep dampness out. Winter chains us to our depression. Wretched dreams chase spring away. In the darkness, spring awakes. Winter ends with the new rising sun. Grass and flowers get a cold drink.
