Acrostic Poetry, for Carol St. Ann
“Nothing More Beloved Than Charity” Could it be that such a generous soul, A savior, for lack of any better term, Radiant as a Renaissance Mary herself Offered a king's ransom for so very Little in return, such a pittance! Alas! Still, these novice fingers owe a debt That must be paid, with interest, indeed! Another beautiful philanthropist gives proof: Never demanding, never cruel nor unkind, Nothing in this world is more beloved than charity. 'Carol St. Ann' acrostic, by A.T.B: Quillogistics “The Golden Page” Before the written word we were hunters, gatherers, Omnivorous, club-carrying, Clans of Cave Bears Oblivious to the power of simple scribblings that Knights and kings of us would one day make... Miraculously simple ideographs, eventually our Etymology, the roots of this very civilization itself! Interspersed throughout history, what was a simple Species coalesced into a great creative collective, Theater, poetry, prose...passengers upon our tongue, Even Whitman's yawp amid various other ponderous Ramblings, rumbling forth onto our Golden Page...
