BATTLES WITHIN



Battles rage all over the globe

Nation to nation all over, yet again



Over power, control, since our time here began

All hate and anger, and such horrible pain



Battles, hidden fears, held deep within all

The young do the dying while the old make the call



My own battle, no child should ever worry about

Am I boy, No a girl, has there ever been doubt



Such pain for many kids and adults to endure

Not our choice, not perversion, of course there's no cure



Battles will always rage around the globe and within

Each one so different, so painful when do they end



Battles come and go

Battle long, battle strong

And continue to grow



We were born this way

Understanding will come

Tomorrow, next week

just not today
