A poem inspired by a dear friend whom passed away March 5th,2011.
I’m really lost for words as your passing was a shock
Then reality kicked in so fast that I wouldn’t hear your knock.
It seems like only yesterday you were laughing in my chair
And telling me your problems because you knew I care.

I’m sitting here trying to explain the love I have and feel
It’s hard because I wish so bad that this day wasn’t real.
Your smile was the pinnacle that brightened up my day,
As well as all the funny things you would always say.

No matter what the future hold the past I won’t forget
The times you’ve been there for me is easy to admit.
We also shared a bond that no one could ever break.
For I know you’re in a better place and God makes no mistake.

Don’t worry about the kids
They all are in good hands
We’ll keep your memory alive
In our protection they will stand

This is not goodbye for us it’s just you’ve gone away.
Until the next time we meet up, I’ll ask for strength as I pray.
For joyous times lie up ahead when I’ll live where your stay!
