What If ?
Thoughts of what if....

Lonely nights spent dreaming,
Moonlight through my window beaming.
Doubts and insecurities invade,
Leaving me numb and afraid.

Thoughts constantly spinning,
Waiting on a new beginning.
Emotions sheltered within,
Smoldering securely therein.

What if my expectations are too high?
To the past, can I even say goodbye?
Can my emptiness ever be filled?
Will my thoughts never be stilled?
