Here I am, my dearest Lord,
Where I always begin, When things of life befall me I'm on my knees again. I know I come here often, Too often, some may think, To talk things out in hard times Or when I'm on the brink Of monumental changes Or milestones in my life. I come to You in all things-- Not only joy but strife. I come here to say thank You For things that You have done, For health and home and family, For sending us Your Son. I thank You for the sunshine. I thank You for the rain. I praise You in the good times I praise You through my pain. For You are always with me As I live day to day. You're with me when I falter. You hear all that I say. I know that a day's coming When I'll be here no more, When life on earth is over And I reach Heaven's door. That day, I shall see Jesus At His Father's right hand; What a happy reunion On Heaven's golden strand! Until then, Lord, I'll be here. On You, I'll cast my cares. I'll share with You my triumphs While on my knees in prayer. So, here I am again, Lord. Your servant I shall be. I'll be watching and waiting Like You have asked of me.
